Ginter occasionally sells Dusk Stones as “Deep-Dark Rocks” for 5,000 Pokédollars at the Ginkgo Guild cart near Galaxy Hall, but his selection of special items is random, so players will need a bit of luck to buy a Dusk Stone from him.Pokémon Legends: Arceus may not be a “typical” Pokémon game, but this bold new entry in the franchise still lets you evolve your Pokémon into exciting new forms through a variety of strange (and often confusing) methods.Īrceus does a fairly good job of letting you know when and how to evolve many of the game’s 242 Pokémon (and you’ll always be able to choose whether or not you want to evolve one at all), but there are a surprising number of Pokémon in the game without immediately clear evolutionary paths. However, players can also find Dusk Stones in shaking ore and inside Space-Time Distortions. Dusk Stones can be purchased from the Trading Post in Jubilife Village for 1,200 Merit Points, which players can earn by picking up Lost Satchels throughout Hisui. Like Pokémon games of the past, trainers can evolve their Murkrow into a Honchkrow using a Dusk Stone in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Like Honchkrow, Murkrow can only be encountered at night, so trainers will have to rest or wait until nightfall to catch it. However, Murkrow spawns most frequently in the Cobalt Coastlands area of the map and can be found in multiple sublocations, including Crossing Slope, Hideaway Bay, Veilstone Cape, and Islespy shore. Players will first come across Murkrow in the Cloudpool Ridge area of the Crimson Mirelands where the Alpha Honchkrow spawns. Murkrow is a common Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, making it relatively easy to catch one and evolve it into Honchkrow. However, since all Pokémon in the game can be caught without battling, players may be able to capture this Alpha early as long as they have the right items and strategy. Alpha Pokémon are significantly stronger and more aggressive than other Pokémon of their species, and since Alpha Honchkrow is level 55, players likely won’t be at a high enough level to battle it the first time they explore the Crimson Mirelands. Alpha Honchkrow appears at the Cloudpool Ridge along with the smaller and lower-level Murkrow, but players will only be able to encounter this flock at night. Pokémon Legends: Arceus players will encounter the Alpha Honchkrow in the Crimson Mirelands area of Hisui relatively early in the game. Fortunately, both flying Pokémon and Alpha Pokémon appear at fixed locations on the map, and players can spot the flying Honchkrow above the Bather’s Lagoon area of the Cobalt Coastlands. Honchkrow can only be encountered in the wild of Pokémon Legends: Arceus as a flying Pokémon or as an Alpha Pokémon, and it doesn’t spawn anywhere else in the Hisui region.
